I look to history for my designs, originated in 17th Century England as wedding rings by servants who could not afford precious metals. Servants would steal a spoon or a piece of flatware and have it turned into a ring for the one they loved. This action was never taken lightly as such an expression of love could be punished with a sentence of 7 years imprisonment overseas in a penal colony.
